Explore the workshop plan
  • Debate why 2026 feels like a genuine crisis point in cyber and tech policy, not just “business as usual” disruption

  • Unpack the clash between US‑led laissez‑faire models and Europe’s push for digital sovereignty and platform accountability

  • Examine how AI, data and opaque algorithms are reshaping power, geopolitics and democratic resilience.

  • Analyse online harms—hate speech, disinformation, targeted harassment—as structural, not accidental by‑products of platform design

  • Go inside the machinery of regulation: who actually makes decisions, why they’re overwhelmed, and where the real leverage points are

  • Map emerging legal regimes (online safety, digital markets, AI rules) and what they mean for governments, companies and civil society

  • Work through real‑world cases of platform failures and state overreach, learning to navigate the line between safety and censorship

  • Develop practical strategies for tech diplomacy and cross‑border governance in an increasingly fragmented digital order

  • Build skills to design or critique impact assessments, risk frameworks and “safety by design” approaches with policy teeth

  • Leave with a concrete toolkit—conceptual and practical—for influencing cyber and tech policy in your organisation, sector or country.
